n quel tempo, Gesù disse ai suoi discepoli: «Se mi amate, osserverete i miei comandamenti; e io pregherò il Padre ed egli vi darà un altro Paràclito perché rimanga con voi per sempre, lo Spirito della verità, che il mondo non può ricevere perché non lo vede e non lo conosce. Voi lo conoscete perché egli rimane presso di voi e sarà in voi.
Non vi lascerò orfani: verrò da voi. Ancora un poco e il mondo non mi vedrà più; voi invece mi vedrete, perché io vivo e voi vivrete. In quel giorno voi saprete che io sono nel Padre mio e voi in me e io in voi.
Chi accoglie i miei comandamenti e li osserva, questi è colui che mi ama. Chi ama me sarà amato dal Padre mio e anch’io lo amerò e mi manifesterò a lui». ( Giovanni 14,15-21)Commento
Prima di salutare i discepoli e l’umanità e di salire al Cielo, Gesù ci offre due certezze che animano la speranza e ci faranno sentire dimeno il momento del distacco. La prima è la promessa dello Spirito Consolatore che sarà l’anima e il compagno dell’umanità redenta fino alla fine dei tempi, sostenendo , animando , ravvivando ogni discepolo di Gesù, invitando a guardare avanti e a “ricordarci che l’ultima parola ce l’ha la vita sulla morte”. Lo spirito dell’ottimismo che anima ,nonostante tutto , questa società secolarizzata che spinge al pessimismo, ci aiuta a reagire e a leggere negli eventi il segno di Dio. La seconda promessa è quella di non “lasciarci orfani”, a condizione che vivremo e sentiremo questa sua presenza dentro di noi, attraverso una vita vissuta all’insegna dell’amore alla sua Legge e l’osservanza di essa. Se apparteniamo a Dio,in Cristo, se dentro di noi palpita e vive forte la sua speranza, che ci rende chiamati ad una vocazione di speranza, dobbiamo allora “ essere sempre pronti a rispondere a chiunque domandi ragione della nostra speranza”(II lettura). Rispondere non con l’orgoglio di avere qualcosa che altri non hanno, quasi a sentirsi dei privilegiati, ma con la tenerezza di chi ciò che ha vuole donarlo, condividere la gioia che quel possesso gli procura. Come si rende palese la speranza che in noi? Dicendo a Dio con la vita che lo amiamo sopra ogni cosa. Ma come dimostrare a Dio di amarlo e agli altri che noi gli apparteniamo in tutto? Osservando i Comandamenti. Osservanza non formale, tipo il gioco all’apparenza, alla maschera del perbenismo, ma un’osservanza che abbia come spinta l’amore.” Se mi amate!...” L’amore è la motivazione di partenza che poi diventa stile di vita, un comportamento vivo nell’oggi di Dio. I Comandamenti non sono una secca normativa, senza humus all’interno, quasi la Legge per la Legge, ma essi vanno osservati e vissuti come la strada da percorrere, vivendo nel quotidiano, l’amore di Dio che ci tira il cammino. Quasi a dire:” Signore, ti abbiamo capito!.. Grazie di facilitarci il cammino!.. Aiutaci a ritrovarci ogni momento al tuo richiamo di amore, e a risponderti con gesti di tenerezza nel quotidiano!..” Se vissuta con amore , la Legge di Dio non intristisce, non rende la vita monotona. L’importante è renderci conto che ogni gesto va posto alla luce della carità che ci arriva da Dio e diventa nostra grazia e novità, quasi un’esigenza dello spirito a porre in alto, e a dire ,attraverso l’osservanza,che nei nostri cuori, nei nostri piedi che vanno nel cammino ,nella nostra mente, c’è Dio, il quale , oltre ad essere la meta del nostro viaggio, è anche la forza che ci rende vivi. E così il cammino è più spedito e sicuro l’arrivo. E poi grande la rassicurazione di Gesù:” Chi ama , sarà amato dal Padre mio e anch’io lo amerò e mi manifesterò a lui!”. E’ proprio vero che chi entra nella storia di Dio ed è pronto per la grande avventura, non sarà mai solo. L’importante è agire con Dio, ricordandosi di ciò che dice S. Agostino:” La casa di Dio si fonda credendo, si erige sperando,si competa amando”.
