Commento al Vangelo della domenica Ascensione di Gesu’ ( 5 giugno 2011) - Matteo 28,16-20

L’Ascensione non è l’abbandono dell’umanità da parte di Cristo, ma il compimento della sua missione terrena: riaprire le porte d della casa del Padre all’umanità. E Cristo stesso diventa la porta per cui ogni uomo che crede entra e  si ritrova nella casa  di Dio. Gesù, dopo la Resurrezione ha svolto una forte  pedagogia con gli Apostoli, i quali , però , al sentire del suo ritorno al Padre, si erano  quasi sbandati, ma Gesù fa loro una promessa  stupenda: “ Non vi lascerò orfani: verrò da  voi”(Gv.14,18). L’importante , aggiunge Gesù, e che  essi camminino sulla strada della libertà da  lui tracciata nei Comandamenti di Dio. Questo percorso è importante per ritrovarsi in Dio. E sulla debolezza dell’uomo Cristo innesta un’latra forza, che  diventa promessa  proprio nel giorno dell’Ascensione:”..riceverete la forza dello Spirito Santo che scenderà su di voi..”, e con questa forza nella mente e nel cuore  ,i suoi discepoli avranno anche il coraggio di testimoniare la fede in Cristo fino ai confini della terra. Gli Atti degli Apostoli ( I Lettura) ci descrivono gli ultimi momenti  terreni di Gesù, e poi il suo puntare con lo sguardo e il suo corpo il cielo e tornare alla casa del Padre. “ E adesso?”, sembrano domandarsi gli Apostoli, mentre con lo sguardo  si perdono in un’attrazione senza tempo, e fissano il cielo. Due bianche vesti si accostano a loro, quasi rispettosi del loro dolore e stupore insieme, e cercano di farli rientrarli in se stessi. “Uomini di Galilea!... E’ ora di  guardare aventi perché il cielo lo avrete sempre con voi! E’ il momento di camminare, la sosta è …Bisogna che quel Cristo che ora vi attrae mentre ritorna al Padre  dopo avere compita la sua missione, sia il compagno dei giorni che vi attendono per portare l l’annuncio della salvezza alle genti! Ora sosterete nel Cenacolo fino al giorno in cui la promessa di compie!”

Noi abbiamo visto, toccato,udito, abbiamo sentito il vento dello Spirito invaderci i ritmi dell’anima, noi siamo stati innestati in Cristo. Anche a noi tocca non più sostare, ma metterci in cammino. “Nel teatro della vita solo  a Dio e agli Angeli è concesso di fare gli spettatori “(F.Bacon). Nell’Ascensione di Gesù, mentre  comprendiamo che il  cielo è la meta del nostro andare, siamo sospinti a saper percorrere la strada per arrivarci. Nella II Lettura Paolo, scrivendo agli Efesini, ripete anche a noi con forza:”..Dio vi dia uno spirito di sapienza…illumini  gli occhi del vostro cuore…per farvi comprendere a quale speranza vi ha chiamati…”, come dobbiamo camminare, sospinti dalla sua forza e  dal suo vigore. Non basta credere, ma bisogna agire; né basta leggere la Parola di Dio, ma bisogna attuarla nel nostro quotidiano; non bisogna contentarsi di non fare il male, ma bisogna impegnarsi a fare il bene; non  basta affacciarsi alla finestra, ma   bisogna scendere nelle strade e camminare insieme con gli altri, offendo il bicchiere di acqua della carità senza limiti.                                           

La festa dell’Ascensione ci insegna a stare con Cristo in prima fila. “Non dobbiamo nasconderci, né scoraggiarci e avere paura..Colui che è scomparso, in realtà è qui con noi e dentro di noi.”(A.Dini)

Commentary on the Gospel for Sunday, Ascension of Jesus' (June 5, 2011) - Matthew 28.16-20
                                                                     
At that time, the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had shown them.
When they saw him, fell. But they doubted. Jesus came and said to them: "I was given all authority in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, until the end of the world. " Matthew 28.16-20

The Ascension is not the abandonment of humanity by Christ, but the fulfillment of his earthly mission: to reopen the doors of the house of the Father to humanity. And Christ himself becomes the door through which every man who thinks he enters and finds himself in the house of God Jesus after the Resurrection has played a strong education with the Apostles, which, however, upon hearing of his return to the Father, had almost disbanded, but Jesus makes them a wonderful promise: "Do not leave you orphans: I will come to you" (Gv.14, 18). The important thing, Jesus adds, and they walk the path of freedom which he traced the Commandments of God This route is important to find God in Christ on the weakness of man engages un'latra force, which becomes its promise in Ascension Day: ".. you will receive the power of the Holy Spirit has come upon you .." and with this strength of mind and heart, his disciples will have the courage to witness to faith in Christ to the ends of land. The Acts of the Apostles (Reading I) describes the last moments of Jesus' earthly, and then his point with his body and gaze at the sky and return to the Father's house. "What now?" Seem to ask the Apostles, and his eyes get lost in a timeless attraction, and stare at the sky. Two white robes come unto them, as respectful of their sorrow and wonder together, and try to bring them back into themselves. "Men of Galilee ... It 's time to look for the sky with him, you always have with you! It 's time to walk, parking is the Christ ... I must now appeal to you as he returns to the Father after having fulfilled his mission, is the companion of the days that lie ahead ll'annuncio to bring salvation to the nations! Now stop in the Upper Room until the day when the promise of fulfilled! "
We have seen, touched, heard, we felt the wind of the Spirit invade the rhythms of the soul, we have been grafted into Christ. Even up to us to no longer stand, but make our journey. "In the theater of life only to God and the angels are allowed to make the audience" (F. Bacon). Ascension of Jesus, while we understand that the sky is the goal of our go, we are impelled to be able to travel the road to get there. In reading Paul II, writing to the Ephesians, we also repeated firmly: ".. God will give you a spirit of wisdom ... enlighten the eyes of your heart ... to make you hope to which he has called you ..." as we walk, driven by his strength and his force. Not enough to believe, but we must act, not just read the Word of God, but you have to implement it in our daily lives, we must not be content not to do evil, but should strive to do good, not just look out the window, but you have to get in streets and walk together with others, offend the glass of water from the charity without limits.
The feast of the Ascension with Christ teaches us to stand in the front row. "We must not ignore, nor be discouraged and afraid .. One who has disappeared, it is actually here with us and within us." (A. Dini)
